The works featuring the Nose are a part of the Faces series. These works are simple and straightforward, eliminating excess characteristics to feature their essence. At the time of start painting, no clear ideas exist in my mind on how I will depict a face on canvas. After experimenting with various forms and lines, the face reflecting my intention comes up.

This time, on continuing the same process, I noticed that I did not wish to depict the eyes because they are too assertive. The nose is the most prominent part of the face and represents one's personality and self-esteem. To face the inner side of myself it was my decision to focus on Nose. I added a mouth with expecting to be realized as a face.

 

The backgrounds of the works are white or grayish white. Rather than relying on colours, I attempted to apply simple and natural expressions to accentuate bold lines.
