2012  Memory echoes deep in my heart

The work came into the world in the wake of the 3.11 major earthquake followed by the devastating tsunami that hit Japan in 2011.  The event roused a strong desire for life. “Red” color was the right choice to express the period of shock and suffering after the disaster. I let it all out on the large canvas in “face”. These faces represent a shocking memory that is deeply moving the souls of the Japanese. The shocking memory was exhibited in the real human face on a large canvas, with a neck swiveling 180 degrees, to face the reality of going through a difficult phase.
