Time / Moments
YELLOW WORK
The yellow work has always been sitting beside me. “Why do I need this yellow work?
Why am I firmly attached to this piece?” It was difficult to answer this question.
I suddenly realized that there is a meaning or purpose in the act of painting itself.
I sit with a canvas when I want to encounter myself or pray for something, because I am able to keep my composure by continuing to paint. The more I paint a color, the deeper and denser it becomes. This process indicates my devotion to and the time spent on this piece. The time I spend painting confirms the meaning of my being.
MOMENTS
My memory is etched with vivid, memorable moments full of either joy or sorrow.
For human being, such moments are even more precious as these are nothing but a blink, and by nature, human beings evolve continuously.
I attempt to capture such moments and retain them on canvas. The most desirable thing would be if I could provide un forgettable description of a moment to make it last permanently.
MY GLASSES
My glasses, which are an extension of me, represent my search for my place in the world.
They fully accept me as I am.
